Today, on 4 February 2026, a meeting was held between the leadership of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter — the National Agency) and the UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Alexandra Solovyova, as well as the Deputy Resident Representative, Mr. Patrick Haverman.
During the meeting, the parties discussed new areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of religious policy and interethnic relations. One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the signing of an agreement on the provision of technical assistance to the National Agency by UNDP. On the same day, technical equipment was handed over to support the implementation of state policy in the field of religion, the strengthening of interethnic relations, social cohesion, and the promotion of civic identity.
The Chairperson of the National Agency expressed gratitude for the support provided, emphasizing that UNDP is one of the key international partners that consistently supports the activities of the National Agency in the areas of sustainable development, social stability, and inclusiveness.
