The second meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation was held in Bishkek. 

Following the work of the II Intergovernmental Commission, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCRA KR) and Kuwait Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to cooperate in the prevention of any form of discrimination based on religion, ensure guarantees of freedom of religion, equality of human and civil rights and freedoms, regardless of their attitude towards religion, strengthen interreligious dialogue, develop methodological frameworks for improving the normative and legal regulation of relations between public authorities and religious organizations, enhance research and analytical capacity of state bodies in the sphere of religion and prevent the spread of radical and extremist ideas in accordance with the legislation of their States. 

The document was signed by Z. Ergeshov, Director of the SCRA KR, and Naif Falah Al Hajra, Minister of Finance of the State of Kuwait.
