International Conference “Spiritual Silk Road. Humanistic Traditions and Modern Challenges”
The Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan with the support of the State Commission for Religious Affairs (SCRA) of the Kyrgyz Republic held the 3rd International Scientific and Theological Conference “Spiritual Silk Road. Humanistic Traditions and Modern Challenges” on 13 September 2018 in Bishkek.
This conference is aimed at developing a common coordinated position with regard to the challenges of our time, preservation and further development of religious and cultural heritage of the peoples of the Eurasian space, their further pursuit of progress, science and innovation, based on the foundation of common traditional values. The event was attended by heads of muftiyats and representatives of state bodies of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the scientific and expert community.
The first two cycles of the conference were held in 2016 in Urumqi, People’s Republic of China and in 2017 in Kazan, Russian Federation.
